Meet the Designer and Entrepreneur Jennifer "Jenny" Tanner-Christensen!

Jenny started her entrepreneurial journey in 2000 when she launched her handbag and accessories line "Trophy Queen". She was working as a payroll clerical clerk for a construction firm in Southern California and was bored to tears. She had no college degree and had barely finished high school, but she knew she had much more to give and needed to do something creative. So why not start an accessories line?! (Which she knew nothing at all about). With the determination to make it work and knowing she could not afford to outsource to make her designs, Jenny decided to sign up for an auto upholstery course at West Valley Occupational School to learn to sew. Since all her designs were automotive inspired this made perfect sense. It all took off from there!

Six years into owning Trophy Queen, Jenny decided it was time to further her education and attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles, graduating with a degree in Apparel Manufacturing. If working a minimum of 60 hours a week on TQ and going to school full time wasn’t enough, Jenny also became the co-founder of the "West Coast Primer Nationals Hot Rod, Custom and Motorcycle Show" in Ventura, California. With over 1000 cars, more than 100 vendors and up to 10,000 spectators from all over the world, the Primer Nationals became one of the premier shows in the Hot Rod and Kustom Kulture scene. The formation of the “Back to the Beach” show, also in Ventura, soon followed with Jenny as Co-Owner and Promoter.

Over the last two decades Jenny has gained a reputation for being innovative, hardworking and a woman of integrity. She travels the world selling her coveted handbags, accessories, and apparel at hot rod shows, tattoo conventions and music festivals. She has made bags for high profile celebrities including Demi Moore, Marky Ramone, Kat Von D and Elvis Costello. Jenny has also had partnerships with Ford, NHRA and Mooneyes for custom bag collections. Her loyal fan base of customers stretches across the planet. And in 2014 Jenny expanded to own a second line of all leather goods called "Top Notch Leather Works".

Today Jenny lives in the Swedish countryside with her husband, a place where she finds continued inspiration for her quality and unique designs, as well as her new venture of consulting, business coaching and freelance design for other small creative businesses. Jenny is excited to give real world help, the kind that no university classroom can give. Only a seasoned entrepreneur who has launched several businesses in different industries, gone through the ups and downs that every business faces, and has found success on her own terms can share in this way. Jenny can, and she’s ready to help you!
